Notes

'Gatsby Glow Ball' oakleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea quercifolia 'Gatsby Glow Ball') is a shrub for borders, specimen plantings, low hedges, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Round white flower heads age to lime green, and bees and butterflies visit them. The green leaves turn wine-red in fall and stay on long into winter. It stays compact at 3 to 4 feet tall and wide.

Pairs well with Witch hazel, Christmas fern, Switchgrass, and Butterfly milkweed.
