Notes

'Geisha' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Geisha') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large purple flowers open late in spring. They have a Japanese form with yellow-edged centers and are held high above the foliage. The plant spreads, so give it room.

Pairs well with Fire and Ice hosta, Hummingbird sweet pepperbush, and Queen of Night tulip.
