Notes

Gentian sage (Salvia patens) is an annual for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and 12 to 24 inches wide. Deer tend to pass it by. Flowers open from early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Lemon thyme, Labyrinth dahlia, and Gerbera daisy.
