Notes

Giant white fawnlily (Erythronium oregonum) is a perennial for borders, containers, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. Its leaves are strongly marbled with brown, and the white flowers hang above them on bare stems. Hummingbirds and bees visit the blooms. It goes dormant before summer, so plant it near hostas and toad lilies that emerge late.

Pairs well with Jack Frost Siberian bugloss, Mahogany fawn lily, and Blue-eyed mary.
