Notes

Mahogany fawn lily (Erythronium revolutum) is a perennial for low maintenance spring color. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and average to wet soil of most types. Nodding rose-pink flowers with yellow bands near the base open in early to late spring and attract bees. The mottled leaves look good even without blooms. It reproduces rapidly from seed and ultimately makes large drifts.

Pairs well with Fringed bleeding heart, Snowdrop, Lenten rose, and Lady fern.
