Notes

'Gillian' peony (Paeonia 'Gillian') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant light pink blooms age to silvery and tend toward double, and bees and butterflies visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Saunders bred it in 1950.

Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Clustered bellflower, and Switchgrass.
