Notes

'Gladius' peony (Paeonia 'Gladius') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, double salmon flowers fade to light pink and have frilled guard petals. Stems may need support when the blooms are fully open. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with June hosta, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Nodding onion.
