Notes

'Gladys Hodson' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gladys Hodson') is a perennial for borders, cut flower use, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large, full double flowers open near white in late spring, with pale yellow at the petal bases and cupped center. The arching stems carry few side buds, so the blooms make good cut flowers. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Garlic chives, and Blue sage.
