Notes

'Gleaming Gold' peony (Paeonia 'Gleaming Gold') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Yellow blooms with red flares open on erect stems in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Blue star, Blue-eyed grass, and Buffalo grass.
