Notes
'Gnitz' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gnitz') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The pink-violet flowers have rounded petals and a neat sphere of gold-tipped staminodes in the center. Each staminode has a thin white line down its middle. Professor Harald Fawkner bred it.
Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Royal fern, and Spanish bluebell.
