Notes

'Gold Drop' peony (Paeonia 'Gold Drop') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant, single, deep golden-orange flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The name comes from the buds, which look like golden drops.

Pairs well with Blue wild indigo, Garden phlox, and Lily.
