Notes

'Golden Days' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Days') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Its light yellow blooms have dark centers tinged red and open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Derek Irvine introduced it in 2001, and butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Blue star, Blue fescue, and Balloon flower.
