Notes

'Golden Dream' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Dream') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Bright yellow blooms with red flares open in early to late spring. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Balloon flower, and Greig's tulip.
