Notes
'Golden Era' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Era') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant yellow flowers with red flares open in early to late spring on sturdy stems. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. David Reath bred it.
Pairs well with Balloon flower, Nelly Moser clematis, and Lily.
