Notes

Golden garlic (Allium moly) is a bulb for borders, rock gardens, cottage gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Yellow flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees and butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The blue-green leaves stay 9 to 18 inches tall, and the plant is drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Spanish bluebell, Lungwort, and Sedge.

Southern and southwestern Europe.
