Notes

'Golden Vanitie' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Vanitie') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The single flowers have 8 to 10 crimped, notched petals in creamy yellow edged with rose, and the heavy blooms hold up well. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with False indigo, Toad lily, and Big bluestem.
