Notes

'Goldsmith' peony (Paeonia 'Goldsmith') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Light pink flowers open with red flares and age to clear yellow. The semi-double to double blooms are 6 inches wide and have a mild, pleasant fragrance. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Donald Robert Smith bred it.

Pairs well with Stained Glass hosta, Stargazer lily, and Blue grama.
