Notes

'Gorham' pear (Pyrus communis 'Gorham') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open from early to late spring and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. The fruit is grown for fresh eating and culinary use, and it keeps for 1 to 2 months. Richard Wellington bred it in 1910.

Pairs well with Plum, Woolly yarrow, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
