Notes
'Gosh' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gosh') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type flowers have wine-red petals tipped gold, so each bloom looks edged in light. You can cut the stems for bouquets once the buds show color. William Henry Krekler bred it.
Pairs well with Smooth aster, Rock soapwort, and New Jersey tea.
