Notes

'Grandiflora nivea plena' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Grandiflora nivea plena') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large double blooms open early, start faintly pink, and turn white around a ball-like center of pale yellow petals. The flowers are sweetly fragrant, but the stems are weak, so you may want to stake them. Nicolas Lémon bred it.

Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Ageratum, and Blue grama.
