Notes

'Granny Jean' Siberian iris (Iris sibirica 'Granny Jean') is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and it draws butterflies and hummingbirds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It forms a tidy clump that grows 24 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Brookside crane's-bill, Lady's mantle, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
