Notes

Grape hyacinth (Muscari azureum) is a bulb for borders, rock gardens, containers, and naturalized drifts. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Blue, fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees. Plants stay 3 to 6 inches tall, so tuck them along the front of a bed.

Pairs well with Greig's tulip, Lungwort, and Blue fescue.
