Notes

'Green Martian' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Green Martian') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single white flowers are heavily shaded in green and face upward. Plants reach about 32 inches tall and stand upright, so they need no support. Swenson Gardens bred it.

Pairs well with Swamp milkweed, Sensitive fern, and Spanish bluebell.
