Notes

'Grimhild' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Grimhild') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant, light pink, semi-double flowers open in late spring and early summer, with 3 blooms per stem. Plants reach 30 inches tall and spread as they grow, so give them room. Michael Miely bred it and introduced it in 2012.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, New England aster, and Ostrich fern.
