Notes

'Gwendolin' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gwendolin') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Carsten Burkhardt bred it, and it first bloomed in 2004. The light pink, semi-double flowers measure 5½ inches across, with one bloom per stem. Blooms open in late midseason on upright plants.

Pairs well with Great blue lobelia, Incrediball hydrangea, and Cinnamon fern.
