Notes

'Gypsy Queen' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gypsy Queen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep pink blooms have a Japanese flower form. Cut a few stems to bring the color indoors. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it from Pomona and Prince William.

Pairs well with Iris, Smooth hydrangea, and Prairie dropseed.
