Halley's Comet fishbone cactus

Notes

'Halley's Comet' fishbone cactus (Selenicereus 'Halley's Comet') is a succulent for containers, houseplant collections, and fruit growing. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun. Fragrant white flowers open at night in summer. They give way to huge red fruit with sweet purplish red flesh. Hand pollination is recommended for the best fruit set.

Pairs well with Dragon tree, Paintbrush, and Papyrus.
