Notes

'Happy Days' sunflower (Helianthus 'Happy Days') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows 21 to 24 inches tall and bears yellow blooms from early to late summer and again in autumn. It sits low on the menu for deer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with False indigo, Black-eyed Susan, and Buffalo grass.
