Notes

'Sunshine Daydream' sunflower (Helianthus 'Sunshine Daydream') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Yellow blooms open from early to late summer and again from early to late autumn, and they attract butterflies, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Plants reach 60 to 72 inches tall, so give them room.

Pairs well with Spotted beebalm, Big bluestem, and Blue grama.
