Notes

'Monarch' sunflower (Helianthus 'Monarch') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, meadows, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms. It flowers in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and it tolerates drought once settled. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Fireweed, Red fescue, and Sensation Mix cosmos.
