Notes

'Harve' honey locust (Gleditsia triacanthos 'Harve') is a tree for specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Greenish-yellow flowers open in spring and early summer, and they attract butterflies and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Autumn Blaze maple, Miss Kim lilac, Spanish bluebell, and Sedge.
