Notes

'Sunburst' honey locust (Gleditsia triacanthos 'Sunburst') is a tree for accent and privacy screen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The tree has no thorns, and its new growth is yellow. Butterflies and bees visit the spring flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Snowberry, Greig's tulip, Blue Arrow Rocky mountain juniper, and Tall fescue.
