Notes

'Hawaii' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Hawaii') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The anemone type flowers have deep pink guard petals around a large center of yellow stamens that shade to white at the tips. Strong stems of medium height hold the blooms, and dark green foliage fills out the plant. Arthur L. Murawska bred it.

Pairs well with Little Beauty tulip, Sedge, and Ostrich fern.
