Notes

'Hei Mei Ren' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Hei Mei Ren') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant double red flowers open in late spring and measure about 15cm across. The stems are red, and the plant benefits from support, so stake it early.

Pairs well with Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Prairie dropseed, and Ostrich fern.
