Notes
'Hespanola' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Hespanola') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, rose-type blooms open seashell-pink with darker shading in late spring. The flowers smell pleasing, and the vigorous plant has medium stems. Darwin M. Andrews bred it.
Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Queen of Night tulip, and Cinnamon fern.
