Notes

'Hestia' peony (Paeonia 'Hestia') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Nassos Daphnis bred it, and its fragrant red double blooms open in early to late spring. The stems are strong enough to hold the flowers well. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Black Parrot tulip, and Ostrich fern.
