Notes

'Hidden Flash' peony (Paeonia 'Hidden Flash') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Early foliage emerges burgundy and matures to green, and bees and butterflies visit the single lilac-pink blooms. Roger F. Anderson bred it.

Pairs well with Indian Summer rudbeckia, Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Nodding onion, and Polish Spirit clematis.
