Notes

'High Contrast' pulmonaria (Pulmonaria 'High Contrast') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland gardens, ground cover, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. Flowers open raspberry-red in early to late spring, then turn purple and blue. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Hummingbirds and bees visit the blooms for nectar.

Pairs well with Lady fern, Green Spice coral bells, and Autumn Frost hosta.
