Notes

'High Ho' peony (Paeonia 'High Ho') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The big, fragrant flowers are a Japanese type, dull red with cream tips, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Dancing Queen hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Queen of Night tulip.
