Notes

'High Mark' peony (Paeonia 'High Mark') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows about 30 inches tall and bears fragrant, carmine-red blooms that butterflies and bees visit. William Henry Krekler bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Moonshine yarrow, Rainforest Sunrise hosta, and Nodding onion.
