Notes
'Hildegarda' tulip (Tulipa 'Hildegarda') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Its crimson red flowers open from early to late spring. The blooms reach about 16 inches tall, so they suit the middle of a border. Bees visit the flowers, which makes it a fit for a pollinator garden too.
Pairs well with Mount Hood daffodil, Spiked speedwell, and Lemon Chiffon peony.
