Notes

'Honey Roasted' wild indigo (Baptisia 'Honey Roasted') is a perennial for borders, focal points, and anchor planting in larger gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. Bicolor flowers in dark yellow and warm burgundy brown bloom in early to late summer and attract bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It dislikes being moved once established, so choose its spot with care.

Pairs well with Autumn Fire sedum, Purple lovegrass, Ornamental onion, and Bear grass.
