Notes

'Honeysong Pink' New England aster (Symphyotrichum novae-angliae 'Honeysong Pink') is a perennial for pollinator gardens, meadows, rain gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Pink petals surround a yellow center, and flowers open from early to late summer and again in autumn. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Indian grass, and Prairie Sun rudbeckia.
