Notes

'Hot Chocolate' rose (Rosa 'Hot Chocolate') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The russet blooms are fragrant and attract bees. They open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Nola M. Simpson bred it, and Egmont Roses introduced it.

Pairs well with Smooth hydrangea, Blue-eyed grass, and Indian grass.
