Notes

'Hot Stuff' peony (Paeonia 'Hot Stuff') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows about 20 inches tall and bears big single red flowers that smell sweet. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Minuteman hosta, Switchgrass, and Queen of Night tulip.
