Notes

'Illini Rose' peony (Paeonia 'Illini Rose') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deep pink blooms are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Lyman D. Glasscock bred it.

Pairs well with Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Nodding onion, Limelight hydrangea, and Blue grama.
