Notes

'Inaba-shidare' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Inaba-shidare') is a tree for specimen, accent, and woodland use. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows slowly into a broad shape, and red flowers open from early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Bees and birds visit the plant, and the leaves turn color in fall.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Heather, and Star Gazer lily.
