Notes

Inland rush (Juncus interior) is a grass-like plant for meadow plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy soil. Stems form dense or loose clusters and rise 1 to 2 feet. Small greenish spikelets sit in a loosely branched seed head, and long narrow leaves reach above it.

Pairs well with Blue grama, False Solomon's seal, and Gentian.
