Notes

'Isanti' red twig dogwood (Cornus sericea 'Isanti') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they attract butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The leaves turn color in fall.

Pairs well with Spicebush, Switchgrass, Prairie Sun rudbeckia, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
