Notes

'Baileyi' red twig dogwood (Cornus sericea 'Baileyi') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open in spring and again in summer, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit them. It grows fast and turns color in fall. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Common snowberry, Switchgrass, and White fringe tree.
